We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our beloved father, Tino, who recently suffered an ischemic stroke that has changed our lives overnight. He passed away May 10, 2026 at 5:01 AM PST.
Tino was a hardworking, kind, and incredibly strong man who has always put his family first. He has spent his life supporting and caring for others. Watching someone so strong become so vulnerable has been heartbreaking for our family.
He was the in the hospital, fighting every single day to recover. Because of the stroke, he was at high risk of aspiration and was dependent on a nasogastric tube (NGT) for feeding. On top of that, his kidneys were failing, and was on HD three times week. He contracted multiple infections and was on multiple antibiotics. He also sustained a unstageable pressure ulcer that required dressing changes twice a day and as needed.
We are facing a financial crisis. In the Philippines, medical care comes at a high cost, and unfortunately, insurance coverage is extremely limited. Every procedure, every treatment, and every day in the hospital must be paid out of pocket. The expenses were quickly piling up, and we are struggling to keep up. We are humbly asking for any support you can give: whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer. Every bit helps us continue.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
