<div>My name is Laura, and I’m fundraising to help our beloved family cat (My dad's cat) Tink get urgent tail amputation surgery.
</div>
<div>Tink is 15 years old and has been with us nearly all her life Dad adopted her after a previous friend shared her on fb as a kitten in a shelter and had no home or family to care for her— she’s truly my dad’s cat. She’s his constant companion, especially now as he begins treatment for lung cancer.

<div>Tink recently injured her tail, and unfortunately, it has now died. It’s completely lifeless and starting to rot, putting her at risk of infection, flystrike, and severe health complications. She’s currently on antibiotics (starting 21st July), but she must have her tail removed soon to prevent further suffering.

<div>The vet has quoted a rough estimate of £1,331.90 for the surgery, which we just can’t afford. My dad has just started chemotherapy and immunotherapy, and he’s unable to work due to this.
</div>
<div>We’ve tried looking into applying for help from animal charities, but we don’t qualify because my dad isn’t on benefits, and Tink is uninsured due to her age.
</div>

<div>This isn’t just a vet bill — this is about holding onto something that brings my dad, and my family just that little bit of comfort and emotional support during the hardest time in his life.
