Well Friends... I got the worst news of my life earlier this year...
I found out in June that I have arthritis and degeneration in my neck that is most likely genetic. Due to this condition, I have 2 bulging discs in my neck that causes constant chronic pain. My spine surgeon says I must undergo surgery to fuse my C6 and C7 vertebra in a 2 level fusion procedure as soon as possible. The recovery will take months and I must have the surgery soon to avoid nerve damage.
I thought the chronic pain in my neck, shoulders, & arms that I’ve experiences for years was just stress until it got so unbearable that I could no longer sleep lying down in a bed. I currently can only sleep in a chair and I’m managing the pain with meds the best I can. I finally had an MRI in June that confirmed my worst fears.
For the first time in my life I don’t have insurance to cover the cost of the procedure and it’s with a very heavy heart and much prayer that I reach out to friends and family for financial help.
The good news is I found an amazing spine surgeon in Austin, TX through Texas Free Market Surgery who can do the procedure for much less than what it would normally cost.
The surgery will cost $25,000. I have saved $5,000 and need help raising the rest. Can you help me? Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated. Thank you sweet friends!
