Brain Tumor Expenses (Tina Reyes)

My name is Madge Jacobs and my best friend (Tina Reyes) of 40 years was diagnosed with Acoustic Vestibular Schwannoma (brain tumor) and a broken neck in July 2012. In July 2012 she had a cervical spinal fusion on 5 discs in her neck. In September of 2012 after recuperating from neck surgery she underwent surgery for her brain tumor and they were not able to remove all of it, as a result of the tumor being so large. The brain surgery she underwent left her blind in one eye, deaf in one ear and has constant vertigo. As the tumor grows more side effects with appear. The progression can be slow or fast depending on the individual. We are tying raise money for her medical expenses owed to Ohio State University as a result of not having medical insurance. She was just recently granted Medicare in March 2014 and now her medical expenses will be paid at 80 percent.
