Tina's Breast Cancer Fight

On March 14, 2019, my twin sister and best friend, Tina Thompson Guy was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Today, March 15th she met with a surgeon at The Tansey Breast Center in Louisiana. They explained that she has triple negative grade 3 breast cancer. This is breast cancer of the highest grade, very aggressive and difficult to treat. This cancer does not respond to common treatments such as Hormone Therapy drugs therefore will not be effective to extinguish the disease.

After her meeting with the surgeon they sent her for genetic testing, this will help to determine if she'll need a double mastectomy.  As far as we know radiation and chemo therapy will also be a part of her treatment.

Tina is a loving sister, daughter, Aunt, single mother and friend to everyone. The road ahead is going to be a tough one mentally, physically and financially.
