Tina Massaro Recovery and Support

My mother, Tina Massaro, is a special education teacher at Taylor Elementary School in Palisade, Colorado.  She has devoted her entire life to advocating, educating, and caring for those around her.

Several weeks ago she had emergency brain surgery to remove a very large mass.  She came through the operation with flying colors and is recovering.  The mass appears not to be cancerous and we are all hopeful that she will make a full recovery.  The medical professionals involved have an optimistic outlook.

It is likely that she will be able to come home in the next several weeks but  to ensure  her return is healthy and safe there is some work that needs to be done to the house.   Additionally, while we have not received medical bills yet, we are sure they are going to be extremely burdensome despite insurance.

Everyone knows that Tina is the first person to volunteer to help those in need even when doing so places her at a disadvantage.  She of course would never describe it that way but we all know that it is true.

Our family is humbled to have to ask for help in this way but are so appreciative of  the outpouring of support and devotion that so many have offered over this very difficult week.
