I'm the daughter of a fighter.
About four years ago my mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. Today, she was diagnosed in the advanced stages of the horrible disease. I, along with the other members of my family, have had to watch her deteriorate at unpredictable rates over these few short years. To see her cry, or get frustrated because she cant remember. To see her have anxiety and depression, to know she cannot be self sufficient, and to know the future that awaits her. (I'll spare the details) The heartbreak is a constant cloud hovering over our heads. We miss our mother, sister, wife, daughter, and friend.
There is so much that can be categorized as painful and unfortunate but my family tries to look to the positive and have a grateful heart that she is still with us. However, It is getting more difficult to give her all the care she requires. That is why we are asking for help.
My mother needs things we cannot afford and that health insurance fails to cover. She needs In-home health care such as an aid/nurse for when my father, her caretaker, is away. This can cost roughly 30,000 a year and that is money we just don't have.
All we ask is that, if you are able, you donate any amount you can afford, whether its a penny or more, so that we can guarantee my mother is safe and looked after when we are not present to do so.
If you have the ability and desire to donate, we cannot tell you enough how thankful we are! And if you cant donate, thank you for at least reading our story and we ask that you pass our story along.
My mother was an incredible woman who fought many battles before this one. She truly is our hero. We are grateful for the time and memories we have shared and that we continue to share with her. Please help us give her the best quality of life she can have at this point.
