Tim's 50th Bday Truck Resurrection

Donation protected
Hello congregation, this'll be a short sermon today.

Thank you for joining us.
We have a very special reason for coming together. Today I'd like to tell you all a story. A story about someone who at the drop of a hat would give you the shirt off his back. Someone who's a gentleman to all women and a buddy to all men. A man known for having strangers tell him their life stories, yet he listens with intent. He's someone that works hard everyday, and lives his life with no regrets. He's neighborly and he's brotherly. His name is Mr. Timothy Alan Jones. He's a friend, a son, a brother, a band mate, a father, a grandfather, a husband, and for what is now a half a century--a West Seattle community member; He deserves a good deed done unto him, to celebrate his 50th year.

Used to be, when you'd see Tim cruisin' around the neighborhood, he'd be bumpin' along in his rusty frost blue, 1967 Ford F100 long bed truck, known among us all as The Preacher! Where there was Tim, there was the truck. It's a one-of-a-kind site, lookin' like he was (self-proclaimed) "selling onions".

The Preacher's been a member of this community for over 18 years. He has helped with many moves of friends and has been the family's most loyal means of transportation all of their marriage. If you were down, a ride with The Preacher would help lift you up again. He could bring a smile to anyone's face just by his passing. He used to spread love. Well my friends, now he sits, lonely, sad, longing for happier days. All he needs though, is a few helpings of love, given, to breathe life back into him.

Help us resurrect The Preacher, my friends. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Help give him the last of a life, respectful, and loved, to make him shine with hope. Won't you please, reach into your pockets, and give what you wish, to help celebrate these fine gentlemen. Let's kick the tires and light the fires so The Preacher can get back to his good work.
Any amount of offering you give to the plate, is appreciated. It will be used directly toward the revival of this respected classic.
We're not expecting to restore it to be a show winner. We're just wishing to have it once again, be able to get us to dinner.

Work that The Preacher needs, to get back to his daily sermons:
-Interior work ($1500) >to be performed by the wifey, Mrs. Jones.
-Transmission work ($1000) >to be done by the birthday boy, Mr. Jones.
-Body Work/Welding ($1500+) >(to be announced)
-Rust inhibiting/Clear Coating ($1000) >(to be announced)

Each Sunday for this whole year of Tim's 50th, you can join us, to witness the progress of The Preacher's restoration. Follow his Instagram acct: preacher_67f100 for post updates, as well as his upcoming YouTube channel {details to follow}, for entertaining videos of the work being done on his revival, his resurrection!

Thank you on behalf of The Preacher & Tim!

And me, the wifey, Bradi Jones.
