Hello to All,
On August 5, 2018, one of the worst things imaginable happened to our brother, Timothy Singleton: As he was walking home, he became the victim of a random, cruel and senseless act of violence. The attacker robbed him and hit him on the head forcefully with a gun, causing him to fall to the ground, and then repeatedly kicked his head, neck and back. This assault left him in critical condition with a spinal cord injury that paralyzed him completely from the chest down.
We as his family clearly realize that Timothy could have been killed, and we are so grateful that God has kept him. However, we are deeply saddened that his life as he knew it has been forever changed. Tim has been relocated to a spinal cord rehab facility in Nebraska, where he has undergone major surgery to stabilize his spinal cord. His days are filled with both physical and occupational therapy and spinal cord classes. Timothy’s physical loss has impacted his emotional well-being tremendously. He is completely dependent upon others for all his daily activity needs, such as eating, bathing, dressing, teeth brushing and toileting, which can require lifting him into and out of an electric wheelchair.
Timothy is a compassionate loving person that enjoyed life; Now his condition requires prolonged and expensive rehabilitation. Obtaining financial support will ensure that he continues to receive the proper care that will allow him to have the best possible outcome, lessen his worry, and make it easier for him to focus on his recovery, which is so critical.
