My name is Stefania Romano and I am a first year student, Nursing Major at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. I truly feel excited, honored and privileged to have been selected to participate in Timmy's Global Health 9 Day Service Trip to Mao, Dominican Republic from May 26, 2018 to June 3, 2018 to help provide free health services to those in need.
Timmy Global Health’s medical service mission is to develop new ways to promote sustainable nutrition and health education in these under served communities.
On the service trip, I will be participating in various areas within the clinic: taking weight, height, blood pressure, heart rate and temperature and talking with patients. It is a great opportunity for me to help people as a translator by putting to use my 6 years of Spanish, as well as practice for clinicals in nursing school.
I need your help to make a difference as I join the Timmy Global Health Service Trip. This organization has already done wonders providing medical care to those in need in the Dominican Republic.
As you can imagine, the cost for service trips can be expensive. My trip will cost around $2,700 , the money will be spent on my flight to the Dominican Republic, my accommodations and supplies we need to bring. I am currently working part time, so that I can pay for part of the trip, but I know I can't do it alone and I would appreciate any donation possible.
Please consider making a donation to help fund my service adventure, this service trip means a lot to me.
This trip is going to impact many lives, including mine and I am looking forward to sharing about it with you when I return. I ask that you keep those of us who are going on this mission trip and for the community members who we meet, in your prayers.
