Jessica Yevich is the first person to help someone, and the last one to ask for help. She always has an ear for someone who needs it, and encouraging words to help lift someone's spirits. She's the mother of 3 amazing children, and the wife of one very grateful husband, who may have married above his station.
Nine years ago, she was diagnosed with metastatic papillary thyroid cancer w/ follicular variant. She powered through a complete thyroidectomy and subsequent intense radiation treatment. It took a lot out of her, but she persevered throughout.
Last year we discovered that a new tumor has appeared. The tumor markers are positive and over the last 8 months, this tumor has almost quadrupled in size, causing our medical team to become increasingly concerned about it's removal. They have recommended completely skipping the fine-needle biopsy and want to go straight to surgery.
This surgery will require us to meet our out of pocket maximum at the time of scheduling, and we need help with this. We also need help with additional medical expenses like copays for office visits that are required, but hold a flat rate not covered by insurance, and help with the 40% income shortfall that comes with being on short-term disability during her recovery.
Because of the urgency impressed upon us by the medical team, we aren't even sure what lies beyond the surgery. That will depend in large on the pathology report afterwards. We do know that we want Jessica around for a very long time, and ask humbly for your donation to make that a reality.
Funds donated will go to securing the surgery and maintaining family stability during the surgery and recovery process. We really cannot afford to wait to schedule this surgery, so that we can get Jessica back on the road to recovery!
