Time for Nicole to heal

People say the worst thing that can happen in life is to lose a child. You think it will never happen to you. But that’s exactly what happened to our dear friend and colleague Nicole Rabideau on August 28th. Nicole is a caring optometrist and dedicated mother. She and her family were coming home from a trip of a lifetime to Disney World when her youngest daughter Willow came down with a sudden illness. By the time the plane touched down in Providence four and a half year old Willow’s condition had rapidly worsened and she was rushed to Hasbro Children’s Hospital where she died in her mother’s arms only a few hours later. Nicole and Willow’s doctors still do not fully understand what caused Willow’s sudden death. There is no understanding or comprehension for this loss. Nicole is now struggling everyday to to continue to live without her baby. She is mentally and emotionally unable to return to her career at this time. We are asking for financial help for our dear friend so she can maintain her home and keep up with her medical and monthly bills. Your thoughtful generosity will give Nicole and her family time to heal and grieve this shockingly devastating loss.
