Tim's surgical and medical costs

Donation protected
Summer 2016 our dad tore his PCL, MCL and ACL 3 out of the 4 ligaments that hold your knee together. He needed 2 surgeries that summer to repair them but they both failed. In the summer of 2017 they attempted to repair those ligaments again and unfortunately again the surgeries were not a success  so he found a new surgeon was told he needed a full knee replacement.

This summer his knee replacement was August 6th and he ended up multiple infections in his blood and his new knee. He was rushed in for an emergency surgery on August 25th in hopes to clean out the infection and save his new knee.  After an additonal 2 week hospital stay and being sent home with a PIC line and medical infusions everyday unfortunately the infection was not responding like the doctors had hoped. So today October 1st the day he had hoped to be back to work from his original surgery he goes in for his 6th but still not final surgery. They are going to remove the knee replacement, place an antibiotic block spacer and give him a full leg cast for a minimum of 8 weeks and continue to attempt to fight the infection that has been crippling his body. After the infection is gone he will have his 7th and hopefully final surgery and they will give him a new knee replacement. He will then  once again start the healing and recovery we had hoped would be finished by now..
For those who know our dad best, know that asking for help is the last thing he would ever want to do but we can't just sit back and watch him lose everything he has always worked so hard for.
The time in between his surgeries our dad worked his butt off everyday in serious pain to stay up on his personal bills and even with the medical bills piling up he was able to get by and support himself. He always scheduled his surgeries when he knew he had vacation time to use because unfortunately his job doesn't offer any short term disability.  With all these additional set backs of failed surgery after failed surgery he is in a situatuion that I know feels very daunting for him but we are hoping with a little help from our loved ones we can ease his mind a little.

We are hoping to eventually set up some sort of benefit or fundraiser to also help ease this burden but we know there had been many people who have suggested this route so we have high hopes.
