Tim's Stem Cell Transplant Fund

Donation protected
I have cancer. It is called Multiple Myeloma. Stupid name, nasty disease. It is the number two blood borne cancer behind Leukemia. Currently there is no known cure, but there is hope: Stem Cell Transplant.

I was diagnosed last Summer with the disease and started chemotherapy in August. Don't let anyone kid you, chemo is not nearly as much fun as it's cracked to be. I am scheduled to have my stem cell transplant this upcoming June. That assumes I have sufficient funds to carry me all the way through the process.

Stem cell transplant is an amazing  procedure and is to take place at Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital. I am very blessed to have access to one of the world's finest facility and medical teams for my stem cell transplant and for that I'm most grateful.

Typical stem cell transplant costs between $300-400 thousand dollars. Even though I've secured most of the funds, I find myself short and needing to turn to my friends and associates to get me over the top.

If you know me at all, you will know me as a fiercely independent and resourceful person. Asking anyone for help is way outside my skill set. However, this old dog is continually learning new tricks, and this will be one of my greatest tricks ever; asking for help.

Please prayerfully consider helping, any amount is a big help. Also, consider helping by placing my story  out there through your friends and associates.

My window of opportunity is very narrow, so if you can help, sooner works better than later.

I'm extremely grateful for you time and consideration. All are in my prayers.

Blessings,

Tim Kelly

3-30-19,  An update on my cancer battle:

I saw my oncologist this week. Sadly, I will stay on chemotherapy instead of going on maintenance. The chemo makes working very difficult as I am only able to work about 2-3 hours a day, and this is messing up my cash flow badly.

Dr. Simmons wants me to start the stem cell transplant sooner then June. One of the reasons is potential hearing loss which has already started. Nasty disease.

The response to my GoFundMe drive is very humbling, and believe me, I am way beyond grateful.

Once again, I humbly ask for help. Prayers primarily. If you will, pass my request along to your Facebook friends, social media, family, coworkers, churches, etc. Responses are a huge blessing to me and my family.

With love and affection,

Tim Kelly
