Tim's Medical Crisis

On the evening of November 23rd our family experienced a tragedy when we learned Tim had been involved in an horrific accident while riding his beloved motorcycle near his home in Salt Lake City. He was immediately transported to an area hospital where we discovered the severity of his physical injuries - multiple fractures to his legs, hands, pelvis, and skull. He was unconscious and had suffered a traumatic brain injury. 

As I'm writing this today, Tim is still in critical condition in the ICU, surrounded by his family and friends, he has undergone surgery to begin repairs to his fractures and has more surgeries to come. In time we know his body will heal, what is uncertain is the extent to which his brain has been damaged. We are working with an excellent medical team, giving Tim round-the-clock support, and we are cautiously optimistic for every bit of progress Tim has made. Tim has an uphill battle ahead of him but he is a FIGHTER and we will be by his side every step of the way.

With medical debt expected to reach upwards of a million dollars, the impact to the families finances will be devastating. As it stands, there are many unknowns regarding finances and healthcare coverage. Aside from medical debts, other bills are due with no income to cover them. It is an additional burden on Amy and the girls during this emotional and stressful time. 

Tim needs the support of his family to continue to heal. Right now, the family needs the support of their community, allowing them to focus their energies on Tim's recovery.
