Its amazing where life will lead you... as we have learned.


Our story towards adoption began with a tiny heart, in my womb, that stopped beating at 34 weeks gestation.
Our hearts were broken. We lost our baby girl who was due in just a few more weeks. We met her to say goodbye, and went home with empty arms. (The photo above is her hand wrapped around Daddy's finger) Here is her story:

My name is Mandy, and my husband Colby, and our 4 year old son A.J., knew in our hearts that our arms did not have to be empty forever. At first, we thought about seeking surrogacy since we seemed to be healthy reproductively. Unfortunately, just 10 days after losing our baby girl, I ended up in the hospital with multiple pulmonary embolisms (clots in the lungs). Our hematologist then informed us that I had 2 blood disorders that causes stillborn in pregnancies along with many other issues. We felt the risks involved in having another genetic child were far too scary. This is when we knew adoption would be our decision.


Once the decision was set, our minds started racing with thoughts of who our baby would be, and would we be so lucky to be placed with a squishy, sweet newborn someday?


Our son A.J was so excited to be a big brother. He is thrilled that we are pursuing another baby. We would be thrilled to give him a baby sister or brother. :)
