Last night, our sweet boy Tikka fell from our third story window onto a spiked fence. We were not home at the time, but were lucky enough to have an amazing neighbor that came to his aid and brough him to a vet, where he is currently being treated.
Tikka sustained massive injuries to his furry little body, including a fractured scapula and deep wound where he was impaled by the fence, as well as superficial lacerations to his neck, face, and nose. He also most likely has nerve damage to one of his front legs, though we don't yet know the extent of it.
Brass tacks: we were able to put down enough money to cover a bare-bones deposit and get him stabilized, but are in desperate need of some help. The vet is unable to provide the surgery Tikka needs and continue to keep him on fluids/ antibiotics at the animal hospital unless we are able to cover the rest of the costs ASAP.
The absolute lowest estimate for his procedures is $2,255.21, with a high estimate of $4,228.68. Our guess is that the final cost will fall somewhere between those numbers, with $3,000 being a low but reasonable estimate.
If you are able to help us out in any way, even if that just means sending some good vibes in Tikka's direction, we would so very much appreciate it. Our sweet prince needs all the help he can get right now.
