<div>Tijn heeft al ruim anderhalf jaar zeldzame vasculaire compressies waardoor hij niet kan lopen en niet normaal kan eten.
</div>
<div>Hij heeft hiervoor 2 operaties nodig in het ziekenhuis van Malaga.
</div>
<div>In Nederland worden deze operaties niet uitgevoerd en ook niet vergoed .
</div>
<div>We willen daarom jullie hulp vragen.
</div>
<div>Nooit gedacht dat we een Crowdfunding nodig zouden hebben, maar er is helaas geen andere mogelijkheid.
</div>

<div>Het uitgebreide verhaal volgt hieronder.

<div>Onze zoon Tijn is ernstig ziek en om hem weer gezond
</div>
<div>te krijgen en mee te laten doen in het dagelijks leven staan we voor een grote uitdaging.
</div>
<div>Tijn is 16 jaar en woont in Dronten.
</div>
<div>Hij was altijd een gezonde jongen, eigenlijk nooit ziek, voetbalde 3 keer in de week, ging naar
</div>
<div>school en zou dit jaar eindexamen doen.
</div>
<div>In september 2023 werd hij plotseling ziek, en raakte alles kwijt, voetbal, school en veel van zijn vrienden.
</div>
<div>Hoe kan je wereld ineens veranderen?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tijn is al ruim anderhalf jaar ziek en kampt met heftige buikpijn en pijn in zijn linkerbeen.
</div>
<div>Hij is erg vermagerd en kan bijna niets eten zonder enorme buikpijn hiervan te krijgen.
</div>
<div>Hij is daarom afhankelijk van sondevoeding.
</div>
<div>Hij viel binnen twee weken , acht kilo af, en zakte door zijn benen.
</div>
<div>Het was duidelijk dat er iets aan de hand was.
</div>
<div>Hij heeft heel veel in het ziekenhuis gelegen, de laatste opname was een opname van ruim 8 weken.
</div>
<div>Hij heeft ook een vreselijke pijn in zijn been. Hij kan hierdoor niet meer lopen of op zijn benen staan.
</div>
<div>Hij is 3 maanden in een revalidatiecentrum opgenomen geweest om weer te kunnen lopen
</div>
<div>maar ook dat lukte niet goed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Na diverse ziekenhuizen bezocht te hebben en diverse onderzoeken gehad te hebben
</div>
<div>is er nog geen arts die een definitieve diagnose kan stellen of durft te stellen.
</div>
<div>De arts van het laatste ziekenhuis behandelde hem voor het SMAS/Wilkie-syndroom
</div>
<div>( beknelling van de 12 vingerige darm door de buikaorta en de AMS).
</div>
<div>Hij krijgt hiervoor sondevoeding ,
</div>
<div>omdat aankomen in gewicht de eerste stap is om de vernauwing die gezien is in zijn 12 vingerige darm, op te heffen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>De meeste artsen waar Tijn is geweest zeggen dat het psychisch is en ze hebben
</div>
<div>letterlijk tegen hem gezegd dat het tussen zijn oren zit.
</div>
<div>We hadden sterke vermoedens dat hij het Wilkie-syndroom zou hebben,
</div>
<div>alle symptomen klopten immers,
</div>
<div>ook de uitslagen klopten maar omdat er hier in Nederland zo weinig kennis over deze zeldzame ziekte is,
</div>
<div>zeker bij jongeren, bleef het toch bij twijfel.
</div>
<div>Door contact met lotgenoten zijn wij terechtgekomen in het ziekenhuis van Malaga in Spanje ,
</div>
<div>waar de arts, dokter Morata dmv onder andere een IVUS onderzoek een duidelijke diagnose heeft gesteld.
</div>
<div>Dit onderzoek had hij nog niet gehad.
</div>
<div>Het bleek dus wel degelijk dat er wat aan de hand was. Voor Tijn en voor ons allemaal een opluchting.
</div>
<div>Eindelijk erkenning.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Diagnose:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tijn heeft het:
</div>
<div>- SMAS/Wilkie-syndroom (beknelling van de 12 vingerige darm) ,
</div>
<div>- Mals-syndroom ( beknelling van de maag leverslagader )
</div>
<div>- May-thurner syndroom(vernauwing van de bekkenader).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Het was overduidelijk dat hij ernstige vernauwingen/compressies in zijn aderen heeft.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Deze arts kan hem helpen.
</div>
<div>Dit kan in Spanje verholpen worden door 2 operaties. In Nederland willen ze Tijn namelijk niet opereren.
</div>
<div>Deze operaties zijn echt ook noodzakelijk omdat de gezondheid van Tijn anders verslechterd.
</div>
<div>Hij kan, als er niets gebeurt, meer compressies ontwikkelen en die kunnen ernstige gevolgen hebben.
</div>
<div>Ook kan hij een trombosebeen krijgen als er niets gebeurt.
</div>
<div>We willen daarom voor Tijn zsm de operatie laten plaatsvinden.
</div>
<div>De arts in Malaga is de expert op vasculaire compressies.
</div>
<div>Echter de verzekering gaat deze operaties niet vergoeden.
</div>
<div>We hebben de reeds gedane onderzoeken in Malaga van enkele duizenden euro's zelf kunnen betalen ,
</div>
<div>maar er is geen geld genoeg voor de operaties.
</div>
<div>Volgens een eerste schatting van het ziekenhuis is er 50.000 euro nodig voor de operaties en verblijf in het ziekenhuis.
</div>
<div>Dit is wel afhankelijk van hoe de operatie verloopt en hoe snel zijn herstel zal gaan.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Daarom vragen wij (hoe moeilijk we het ook vinden om dit te doen) uw hulp om geld in te zamelen voor Tijn.
</div>
<div>Zodat hij weer een toekomst kan hebben. Nu is zijn toekomst namelijk uitzichtloos.
</div>

</div>
<div>We hopen dat hij weer kan lopen en sporten, weer deel kan uitmaken van het dagelijks leven.
</div>
<div>Dan kan hij ook weer naar school en heeft hij weer een toekomst.
</div>
<div>Momenteel is hij aan huis gekluisterd en is hij bijna al zijn vrienden verloren.
</div>
<div>Zijn wereldje is heel klein geworden en dat doet wat met hem en met ons als gezin om dit zo mee te moeten maken.
</div>
<div>Je verwacht dat de gezondheidszorg in Nederland goed geregeld is, maar er is hier te weinig kennis over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Wij zijn als ouders blijven zoeken naar een oplossing voor zijn ziekte en dat heeft ons
</div>
<div>heel veel verdriet en frustraties bezorgd.
</div>
<div>Het heeft veel energie gekost en kregen van velen geen begrip voor zijn situatie.
</div>
<div>We weten dat Tijn bij deze arts in Malaga op de goede plek is, we kwamen daar ook een
</div>
<div>aantal andere Nederlandse mensen tegen.
</div>
<div>Er zijn meer mensen uit Nederland die naar deze arts gaan om geholpen te worden.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>De kosten die we moeten maken zijn voor het vliegen, verblijf daar en de operaties.
</div>
<div>Hij zal in ieder geval 2 keer geopereerd worden.
</div>
<div>De eerste operatie zal voor de MALS en het Wilkie syndroom zijn. Hij krijgt dan ook een
</div>
<div>peg sonde waardoor de voeding zal gaan komen.
</div>
<div>Ook krijgt hij een opening in zijn buik om het vocht dat bij de operatie vrijkomt, naar buiten te leiden.
</div>
<div>Als hij hiervan voldoende herstelt, zal hij geopereerd worden aan het May-Turner syndroom.
</div>
<div>Hij zal een stent in zijn been krijgen waardoor het bloed naar zijn been weer normaal kan doorstromen.
</div>

<div>Wij hopen dat u ons, maar vooral Tijn, een klein beetje wil steunen.
</div>
<div>Financieel maar ook mentaal, dat heeft Tijn ook nodig.
</div>

<div>Tijn has had rare vascular compressions for over a year and a half, which means he cannot walk and cannot eat normally.

<div>He needs 2 operations for this in the hospital in Malaga.
</div>
<div>These operations are not performed in the Netherlands and are not reimbursed.

<div>Our son Tijn is seriously ill and to get him healthy again and to let him participate in daily life we face a major challenge.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tijn is 16 years old and lives in Dronten.
</div>
<div>He was always a healthy boy, never really sick, played football 3 times a week, went to school and was supposed to take his final exams this year.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In September 2023 he suddenly became ill and lost everything, football, school and many of his friends.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How can your world suddenly change?
</div>
<div>Tijn has been ill for over a year and a half and is suffering from severe abdominal pain and pain in his left leg.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He has lost a lot of weight and can hardly eat anything without getting a huge stomach ache.
</div>
<div>He is therefore dependent on tube feeding.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He lost eight kilos in two weeks and collapsed through his legs.
</div>
<div>It was clear that something was wrong.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He has been in hospital a lot, the last admission was an admission of over 8 weeks.
</div>
<div>He also has terrible pain in his leg. He can no longer walk or stand on his legs because of this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He was admitted to a rehabilitation centre for 3 months to be able to walk again
</div>
<div>but that did not work out well either.
</div>

</div>
<div>After visiting several hospitals and undergoing various tests
</div>
<div>there is still no doctor who can make a definitive diagnosis or dares to make one.
</div>
<div>The doctor at the last hospital treated him for SMAS/Wilkie syndrome
</div>
<div>(entrapment of the duodenum by the abdominal aorta and the AMS).
</div>

</div>
<div>He is receiving tube feeding for this, because gaining weight is the first step to relieve the narrowing that has been seen in his duodenum.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Most doctors Tijn has been to say it is psychological and they have literally told him that it is all in his head.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We had strong suspicions that he might have Wilkie syndrome, after all, all the symptoms were correct, the results were also correct, but because there is so little knowledge about this rare disease in the Netherlands, especially among young people, it remained a matter of doubt.
</div>

</div>
<div>Through contact with fellow sufferers, we ended up in the hospital in Malaga in Spain, where the doctor, Dr. Morata, made a clear diagnosis using, among other things, an IVUS examination. He had not yet had this examination.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So it turned out that something was indeed wrong. A relief for Tijn and for all of us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Finally recognition.

<div>Diagnosis:
</div>

<div>Tijn has:
</div>

</div>
<div>- SMAS/Wilkie syndrome (compression of the duodenum),
</div>

</div>
<div>- Mals syndrome (compression of the gastric hepatic artery)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>- May-thurner syndrome (narrowing of the pelvic vein).
</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>
<div>It was very clear that he has serious constrictions/compressions in his veins.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This doctor can help him. This can be remedied in Spain by 2 operations. In the Netherlands they do not want to operate on Tijn. These operations are also really necessary because otherwise Tijn's health will deteriorate. If nothing is done, he can develop more compressions and these can have serious consequences. He can also get a thrombosis leg if nothing is done.We therefore want to have the operation for Tijn as soon as possible.

<div>The doctor in Malaga is the expert in vascular compressions.
</div>
<div>However, the insurance will not reimburse these operations. We have been able to pay for the examinations already done in Malaga of several thousand euros ourselves, but there is not enough money for the operations.
</div>

<div>According to an initial estimatefrom the hospital, 50.000 euros are needed for the operations and hospital stay.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This does depend on how the operation goes and how quickly his recovery will go.
</div>

</div>
<div>That is why we are asking (as difficult as we find it to do) for your help to raise money for Tijn. So that he can have a future again. His future is currently hopeless.

<div>We hope that he can walk and play sports again, that he can be part of daily life again. Then he can also go back to school and have a future again.
</div>

<div>He is currently housebound and has lost almost all of his friends.
</div>
<div>His world has become very small and that affects him and us as a family to have to go through this.
</div>

<div>You would expect that healthcare in the Netherlands is well organised, but there is too little knowledge about it here.

</div>
<div>As parents, we continued to search for a solution for his illness and that has caused us a lot of sadness and frustration. It has cost a lot of energy and we did not get understanding from many for his situation.

<div>We know that Tijn is in the right place with this doctor in Malaga, we also met a number of other Dutch people there. There are more people from the Netherlands who go to this doctor for help
</div>

</div>
<div>The costs we have to make are for flying, staying there and the operations. He will be operated on at least 2 times.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The first operation will be for MALS and Wilkie syndrome. He will also get a peg tube through which the nutrition will come.
</div>

<div>He will also get an opening in his abdomen to drain the fluid that is released during the operation.

<div>If he recovers sufficiently from this, he will be operated on for May-Turner syndrome.He will get a stent in his leg so that the blood can flow normally to his leg again.
