Move for necessary medical care

Donation protected
Hello,

My name is David Jessup and on 1/08/2015 I was diagnosed with a life ending illness and at the time the overall feeling by the Dr's was I had a relatively short life span without a transplant. Well I surpassed that time frame and have been put on the national doner list waiting for an available, matching organ. At this point my lab work is fairly stable and below the threshold of the hospital I receive my care from, so I am sort of in a holding pattern.

I am seeking donations to try to help defray some of the many of the one time costs that are associated with a transplant. Currently I am living in central TX and I need to relocate to the Houston area. This move is to put me closer to the facility that handles my medical needs and to try to build a care team that will help me the following month after my surgery. At the moment because of the medications I am unable to drive or work so anything above and beyond my normal living expenses is very hard to come up with and I have to hire out all of my transportation needs (Uber is my new best friend). My timeline for this move is the middle of April at the latest. If I have not shown a positive move towards setting up my care team (at the minimum one person that would be the lead coordinator and be with me or coordinate other people being there during the week of my surgery while I am still at the hospital) I feel I might be taken off the national registry.

As I eluded to before, my daily living expenses I can handle but the one time expenses of moving and resettling are more than my budget can bear in that short period of time.

Unfortunately this is just the tip of the iceberg. Once I have the surgery I am sure there will be quite a few expenses during and after the surgery. In light of my holding health pattern I am hoping to start working some time in the early 2nd quarter of 2016. Hopefully with no hospital stays and continued improvement in my cognitive function I will be able to convince the Dr's to release me from the no drive list and try to start my life again.

Thank you for your consideration and helping to spread the word. And God bless you and your loved ones.
