Tiffany's Hurricane Harvey Relief

Twelve years ago this week my family was displaced because of Hurricane Katrina and learned a lesson about loss, resilience, and the kindness of strangers. This week the life they rebuilt in Houston as Hurricane Harvey landed resulted in sleeplessness, continued prayers and check-ins of concern while waters rose and old but much needed reminders about compassion and the resilience of the human spirit were renewed. They are safe and well yet they (we) know many of our neighbors and friends are not. When my family arrived in Houston 12 years ago there were many who provided a helping hand. It is our hope that they (we) can return the kindness shown just a few short time ago with a similar support. Any funds you give will directly go to support families who are in need as a result of Hurricane Harvey. Unfortunately, insurance will not be enough to cover the loss of many. Anything you give will help.

I'm Tiffany Dominique, a daughter living in Philadelphia, PA feeling helpless not being able to help my Houston based parents while they reside in a life changing hurricane zone for the second time in my adult life. Grateful that they are safe and want to return the outpouring of support they received just a few years ago. The money will go to residents in Houston who attend, Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, across the street from my alma mater, UH. Residents that have identified to the church, my parents are a member (and I attend when in town) a need due to the storm will receive your generous contributions.
