Hi,

My name is Tiffany McDonald, and my husband is William McDonald. We have a cat named Leo. William, or rather Billy (as everyone knows him), is currently trying to get Social Security Disability because he was born with club feet, which are progressively getting worse, as well as some other health issues that make it nearly impossible for him to even work part-time, let alone a full-time job. He has chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS), which makes normal everyday pain even worse, along with the chronic pain he deals with from both his feet and a previously dislocated shoulder that he cannot get relief from either because of the CRPS.

I recently was working full-time in a position of leadership but unfortunately lost my job without any notice. I am also looking for a job that I can do, as I also have some major health issues (but I am capable of doing a full-time job as long as I am not on my feet for an entire shift). I have educational degrees, but living in Fayette County with those degrees and finding a job in the field of Biology that I can physically do is a struggle.

What I'm getting to is right now we are struggling with little to no income. We have used up what little resources we had, are trying to find ways to make money on the side (like DoorDash/Uber Eats), but we have an older car that needs some parts fixed too. We pray every day, and we have reached out to family, and they have helped as much as possible, but now we are doing what is a last resort: asking for your help!

We are already getting government assistance and know what all is available to us and are taking advantage of that, but unfortunately, we cannot get cash assistance because we don't have kids, and food stamps do not pay the rent. Right now, we just need to maintain a couple of months of rent, cell phone payments (which are as low as possible), and weekly car payments and car insurance. For those two months, $5,000.00 would greatly help us to get back on our feet and maybe find a place to live that is even cheaper to move into.

We know we are blessed by the Lord in so many ways, even when it seems like everything that can and will go wrong is going wrong. I know that there are so many people struggling right now, but we like to think of ourselves as good people going through a tough time, and I know it could be a lot worse. Prayers are welcome, of course, but if you could find it in your heart to help us out, I believe you will be blessed ten-fold in your lives. God bless and much love to you all!!!

Also, if anyone has any jobs they think I would be a good fit for, or even a small part of your home or somewhere we could rent for cheaper than $775.00 a month, anything would help. We do have a well-behaved cat that is our fur-baby, and we cannot move anywhere without him.
