Tiernan Reidy

As most of you know by now, our dear friend Tiernan Reidy suffered a catastrophic fire at the home she shared with her Mom, and two dogs, Fia and Lilly.  Her home, along with all of its contents burned completely to the ground.  This living nightmare all unfolded in the evening of Sunday February 25th.  We are all truly grateful that Tiernan, her mom, and beloved dogs are all safe and unharmed.  However, the loss of her beautiful home and an entire lifetime of her most precious worldly treasures is profound and heartbreaking; a loss completely unimaginable.  Many of us want to help Tiernan and her mom get through this difficult time by contributing in some way.  We know that her insurance will help to recoup the financial loss, but that can take weeks, even months.  From what we understand, Tiernan escaped her burning home without taking anything, not even her purse.  In the meantime, Tiernan and her mom may need basic necessities (food, clothing, gasoline, money for new refills on prescriptions, and so much more), in order to get by and to make life feel a little more normal again. 

If time and distance were no obstacle, each and every one of her friends would drop everything and show up on Parkinson Lane to help her rebuild, but unfortunately this just isn’t realistic for everyone.  In an effort to help, albeit in a small way, we have established this GoFundMe page as a collection point for those who wish to contribute, to show their love and support. 

We all know and love Tiernan.  In fact, if you know Tiernan, you automatically fall in love with her.  She is the type of person who would give the clothes off of her own back to help her fellow man.  She is a person who is consistently charitable with others, and isn’t often on the receiving end.  We know she would be uncomfortable with this effort but, as many of us have expressed to her, this is our way of demonstrating how much we care and share the anguish we know she and her Mom are going through.  Both of these women are strong and proud. They show grace, dignity, empathy, and love when others need it the most.  It is time we return what Tiernan has no doubt shown all of us at one time or another.  Please contribute what cash you can to help Tiernan meet some immediate needs.
