Page set up to help raise funds towards replacing the bench’s at the beautiful Tibshelf & Newton Ponds.

Many of you will have noticed that Gary has recently removed the bench’s as they had become unsafe. Gary had been in contact with the council to try and get them replaced however it’s proven to be a dead end, therefore he has decided to take on the project himself.

The plan is to create three seating areas, the estimated cost for materials is approximately £350.00 each (Gary will be doing the work needed to build them for free), we are looking to try and raise £1000.00 towards the cost of the materials, should we raise more than that then we commit to consulting the community on what else they would like in the way of improvements at the ponds.

I know many of you have fond memories of time spent at the ponds over the years, the bench’s being a pivotal part of this. It’s been lovely to hear so many stories of friends and family’s using the area as a social hub.
