Hey thank you for taking time to read Thunders story. I will do my best to not keep you here all day... please help in any way possible. Donating or Sharing will go such a long way in helping out a very poorly boy.. PS to truly understand what this dog means to me please read all. (All Thunders updates/ vet visits will be posted on my Instagram @speedyshane if you wish to follow his story)
The immediate situation:
Thunder was showing symptoms of diabetes last Wednesday 14/10 I took him to the vets immediately. They reassured me he would be fine until we could get diagnosis on monday... however on the saturday he woke up and was completely blind in both eyes. Literally within the space of 6 hours he lost his full vision. Prior to this he had no eye issues whatsoever. .
I have had to pay thousands of pounds to cover vet Bill's over the last month and due to this I have spent every penny i have in ensuring he can get the treatment required. I have little to no personal possessions of value in order to raise these funds internally otherwise this would be the first thing i would do...
We have been referred to a specialist in order to save his eyesight. There is a few more tests he needs in order to have this operation however he has a good chance of being successful.
(Operation success rate of restoration of vision is 80%-90% for full information on required operation please visit the link at the bottom)  please note the £7000 figure is an estimate from my vet. However as soon as I have the exact quote breakdown I will post exact figures for you all to see.

if thunder is not eligible for this treatment every penny will be refunded for each donation. I do not want a penny. I just want my best friend to have a chance!

Backstory:
Thunder turned 9 at the end of September.
I (Shane) have had him all of his life since I was 18. I have not known adult life without him.

For the first 7 years of thunders life Me and my ex partner raised him together. He has had such an amazing life full of adventures we raised him like he was our little furbaby. He gets his walks every single day and will not take no for an answer ...
Unfortunately 2 years ago,
I will not go into details however.. I find myself alone In an empty house with
Just Thunder as my only support. My closest family member being 60 miles away !
The following 12 months were very difficult and i genuinely went on a downward spiral financially and emotionally... I was living alone heavily suicidal without support whilst working in a very stressful environment.
But during all of this the one guy that had my back was THUNDER.
he walked in on me trying to tie a noose from my workout equipment whilst I was crying and start barking at me. He would nudge me on a morning to get me out of bed after I'd taken stupid amounts of sleeping tablets hoping I would never wake up to make sure I ok. He has literally got me off my ass and has given me a purpose in life. Regardless of how dark the days got. He made sure I got my fresh air and stayed on track. Unfortunately we held on as long as we could to our old lifestyle however redundancy at the beginning of the year set off a chain of events that caused me to lose my home I worked so hard to keep.
Me and thunder now float between my mums and nans house in the west Midlands. Just hoping we can make sense of what has happened or at least get on the right path to find happiness again...

I'm really not ready for the world to take him away from me. He deserves so much better !

Godbless anyone who helps us. I'm still shocked it has come to this. But you'll do anything when it's for someone you love .

Please leave your social media name so I can at least thank you ..
