Thumbs Up Riders of Door County

Hello. We are a local trail riding club that is working to build a public horse trail in Door County, Wisconsin. We have finally gotten approval to create that trail at Newport State Park in Northern Door County. Everything was going well until 2020 and the Covid 19 virus happened. We have not been able to do any fund raising since March of 2020 and now the grants and DNR funds are no longer available to us, either. We are set to begin building the trail this spring but will need some financial help.

The trails them selves will involve mostly grunt labor, but the trail head, with a parking lot for several trailers, a bathroom, a manure pit and possibly a hitching post will run us round $10,000.  We have the funds currently to support the labor and materials for the trails,  but we were counting on grants and the DNR for the trail head.

We will begin to fund raise again as soon as we are allowed to, but until then, we are reaching out for any help you can give.
