Throw Kya a Bone (She kneeds it)!

Hey friends! 

My baby girl Kya recently found herself with a torn CCL which is basically the equivalent of a torn ACL in humans. I called veterinarians in Virginia and every nearby state looking for the cheapest prices but even the cheapest surgery I found was still fairly expensive. Unfortunately, the CCL cannot heal by itself, and the resulting limp was causing a major quality of life decrease for Kya and so I went ahead and took her in for the surgery on Thursday. She will also need follow-ups to get her stitches out and to do X-rays to make sure she's healing properly (the recovery process is fairly long for this surgery). Kya has been my best friend and the love of my life since I first got her at 6 months old, she's just over 6 now and I'm cautiously optimistic this surgery will help her continue to live a long happy life. 

Right now, I'm in between jobs and I'm also preparing to move. This is a fairly difficult expense for me to be able to carry alone at this time and so I would really appreciate any help that you can provide.  That being said, please don't donate more than you can afford to give. I know times are hard for a lot of us right now. Kya and I are so grateful for you all.
