You guys, I'm recording a short album. Crazy.
A few years ago, I fell into an emotionally vast and barren winter valley. Not knowing where I was going, I walked further and further into this valley, eventually unable to get out the way I came in.
I got professional help and I started writing songs. I wrote about my anger, my frustration, my disappointment, and the journey I took to process all of that as a Christian. Writing songs was not an instinctual response, per se. It was mostly an act of obedience and survival, I suppose. By no means do I feel like a "songwriter", nor do I feel like a "musician". These songs are just honest, raw, and vulnerable. I hope that they will meet people in the quiet, deep places of honest vulnerability and that they will provide a true voice for the heavy soul where the whispers and hope of Heaven can be heard.
