Hello, I am reaching out to all of our family and friends to help our sister, Maureen Gleason and her husband of 39 years, Charlie Farley. Charlie has been diagnosed with Mesothelioma and has been going thru Chemo and Immunotherapy treatments for the last two years. The University of Chicago doctor told Charlie he had "months" and to basically get his affairs in order! Thankfully, Maureen was not ready to give up and reached out to MD Anderson. Charlie underwent major surgery the day before Thanksgiving and the MD Anderson doctors have given him a much better prognosis.  Charlie is no longer able to work and has had to sign on for Cobra. Travel expenses to M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas are mounting, but where there is a will there is a way. Hope with any terminal cancer is a blessing and Maureen and Charlie know that the recent prognosis is a miracle.
Unfortunately airlines, hotels and VRBO (short term rentals) don't give any type of hardship discounts and COBRA is not inexpensive! We are hoping you can help take some of the financial stress away from their long road to recovery!!
