Thornton HS Walkway Bridge Mural

Donation protected
The Thornton High School Latino Hispanic Student Union is a group of students dedicated to promoting culture, exploring folklore, and creating diverse connections between people through academic, social and community service activities. Our plan is raise enough money
to gather paint and brushes so we can turn our award winning mural into a piece of public art on the pillar supports of the walkway bridge that crosses Washington Street between Thornton Middle (The International School) and Thornton High School in Thornton, Colorado.  Janet Frazier, our school bookeeper, will handle all funds that you donate towards the project.

THS is a very culturally diverse International Baccalaureate school, so we created our mural to represent the historical melding of all of the cultures represented in our community - our sources of strength.  We want our mural represent the positive unity we have created by utilizing our rich multicultural background.  The pride and strength of ancient warriors beats in our hearts.  The strength of many cultures cradles our Trojan spirit.  We want to shout out about the beauty of what has evolved and continues to bloom here on our school campus.  We want to create and celebrate our connection to the Thornton community because....

“We are the shapers of culture, We are the workers of

change, We are the dreamers of dreams.”

Please help us make this dream a reality.
