Help Fix Thor's Leg
Donation protected
Thor has a completely torn cruciate ligament in his right knee. As a two year old dog, this is affecting his quality of life and needs to be fixed. Being a traumatic and not genetic injury, the prognosis of surgery is excellent and the likelihood of re-injury is minimal. Thor has been in a trial adoption and they are willing to nurse him through surgery and recovery. His adoption will be finalized when he is recovered. Please read below for Thor's story.
Thor originally came to Adopt A Mutt in July of 2014 as his owner was leaving town for work. At that time, he was vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. It took him until November to find a great home.
In February of 2015, Thor had to come back to rescue through no fault of his own. Personal circumstances in his owner's lives left him again needing our help. Thor came back to us with an injury that had been diagnosed as a sprain after falling on ice. The injury persisted, and we consulted our own vet for a second opinion.
Thor's surgery is scheduled for Mar 21/15 at Northwestern Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Smith. Donations may also be made directly to the Adopt A Mutt account or via email money transfer to muttsbay{@}gmail.com .
