Thomasville Buddhist Center (TBC) is a 7,208 sq., ft., globally recognized multipurpose religious, teaching sangha, retreat space, and charitable center. Its mission is to look deeper into humanity, through the truly altruistic nature of and the wisdom-teachings of the Buddha-Dharma, to create a compassionate, accepting community designed to welcome change. It is lead and directed by the abbot (Repa) Heiwa No Bushi Yamato Damashii, Rev. T. Marquis Ramsey, STM, Ph.D. This name was given to him by his Zen Budo sensei, Shihan Harris Brody. Heiwa is now a direct student of two of the country’s most insightful Buddhist teachers, Repa Dorge Odzer (Lama Justin Von Bujdoos), and Lama Rod Owens.
In December of 2018, a winter storm swept across North Carolina. Our temple, unfortunately, suffered extensive electrical damage. We have not fully recovered. We are currently generator dependent, lent to us by a community member. At least, 3 circuit boxes are inoperable. Therefore, we are seeking donations to fix them. TBC is a non-profit organization that relies on contributions from the sangha for daily operations. Your donations are much appreciated at this time.
