<div>Hello everyone, our names are Abby, Cole and Wade. We are fundraising for our brother, Thomas Dumbrille, who was just diagnosed with leukaemia to help alleviate financial stress while he is undergoing treatment.

<div>On the morning of Wednesday October 30th our brother, Thomas attended QEII Hospital in Halifax. He had been to emergency twice prior during the previous ten days to be seen for what was originally determined to be a viral illness. On the tenth day, after two episodes of extreme exhaustion, feeling he needed his blood checked, he returned to emergency.

<div>From there it was a whirlwind - tests, scans, X-rays and eventually admitted to the hospital because levels were ‘off’. At 5:30 pm that day, Thomas was told he had a form of blood cancer and was being transferred to Victoria General Hospital to the Haematology Department. This is where he is now and will continue to be for at least a month while receiving treatments. Treatments are expected to extend much beyond his current one month stay as he has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Chemotherapy treatments have begun (along with a multitude of other drugs) and will be intensely required until he is clear of the cancer.

<div>With the plethora of treatments he needs to undergo, it is expected that he will be off work for an extended period of time. If we can alleviate any unnecessary stressors for our brother (such as financial stress), then we will. He needs to remain focused on fighting this cancer and not worried about other things. This is why we have started this Go Fund Me page for him.
