Thom's Lost Income&Medical Expenses

Donation protected
On January 9, 2018,Thomas started having a familiar pain in his upper back. This time it was not going away and was increasing in intensity. Went to doc, he recommended a Chiropractor. Chiropractor said he had compressed C5/6. The pain was HORRIFIC and unrelenting by this time. So he sent Thom to get an epidural steroid injection to ease the pain so he could then do discs decompression. The shot only made it worse. We went to my Orthopedic doc and had an MRI which showed a raging infection in the C5/6 and had to have surgery immediately. They biopsied the infection and started antibiotics but two of his vertebrae were destroyed, so his neck will need rebuilt. He hasn't worked since late January and it could be six to eight weeks after the next surgery (April 5th) before he will work again. The Affordable Care Act was not Affordable for us so we do not have medical insurance. We were approved for assistance for the actual hospital bills but still have the doctor bills and possibly labs to pay for. We have already gone thru what savings we had with the MRI, down payment with the Doc and the Hospital, Chiropractic, Steroid Injection, and monthly living expenses. Our Home Group at church as also been extremely generous!! Thank you for considering!! Love you all and THANKFUL for your prayers and encouragement!!
