In Loving Memory of Thinh Bui

Thinh Bui received the greatest news he could hope for just nine months ago. His wife, Krystinna, was pregnant with their first child.

Now with his baby due at any moment, Thinh’s dream of fatherhood and life is threatened with the sudden and unexpected diagnosis of stage IV stomach cancer. 

Thinh is a very private person and would normally not ask for help. However, we can't let him take on this burden alone.

Information Regarding Thinh's Diagnosis
On 8/16, Thinh went to the ER for stomach pain and indigestion. The doctor did a CT Scan of his abdomen and found a mass in his stomach about 20cm long which had also spread to his liver. An endoscopy was performed to get a biopsy of his stomach. Due to the size of the mass and the potential need for surgery, the doctor transferred Thinh to a larger hospital. There, he underwent liver biopsy, bone marrow biopsy, chest CT Scan, PET Scan along with more poking of needles. After getting a second opinion from an oncologist, Thinh was diagnosed with stage IV stomach cancer. Surgery to remove the mass was no longer an option.

Thinh is now fighting for his life while waiting for chemotherapy. Stomach cancer is not curable and the prognosis is in God’s hands. Thinh and his wife are expecting their first child anytime now. As his wife is preparing for labor, she has never left Thinh’s side. We know Thinh to be a kind-hearted person and he lights up the room wherever he goes. He will fight through this for the sake of his wife and son.
