One mile swim across Loch Lomond

Donation protected

Gail McDade, Jane Heggie & Richard Oliver, all past and present Labour Party Organisers, will be swimming a gruelling, and probably very cold, 1 mile open water swim across Loch Lomond in order to raise money for three great (and very personal) causes, all of which help people with Cerebral Palsy.

Gail is Mum to Ryan who has quadriplegic CP, Richard is Dad to Alfie who has also has quadriplegic CP and Jane is Mummy to 2 year old Lyra who as a working diagnosis of CP and Global Developmental Delay.

They will be raising funds for CP Sport, which supports people with cerebral palsy to reach their life potential through sport and active recreation; The Bobath Centre, which is a specialist treatment and training centre, dedicated to supporting children and families living with cerebral palsy; and 'Lyra Can' which aims to provide Lyra with extra treatments to help her to walk, talk and chew.

Gail, Jane and Richard have never attempted open water swimming on this scale but your donations coupled with the very real risk of drowning will hopefully get them through this difficult challenge.

Thank you in advance for any support you are able to give to these important charities and appeals.

Come what may, things can only get wetter!
