On November 16th 2011 at the opera in zurich/ Switzerland:
During a rehearsal of Puccinis "Turandot" the big Tamtam had an electronic amplification. The loudness should have examinated before. But there was no time to fix it. So an enourmes sound strength came out of the loudspeakers. The chorussinger Thierry Duty, sitting next to the loudspeaker was hard hit. From this day he suffers under a Tinitus and a Hyperacusis. He lost his job at the opera and after two years the health insurance stopped the payment. He could not longer live in the city because of the noise. So he moved into a little house of his parents in Spain. After 4 years without earning money his parents were forced to sell the house. His situation became worse, because the swiss disability insurance refuses any payment until today with threadbare reasons.
Thierry needs our help. His collegues from the opera helped him to survive the last months.
