We are happy you are here. It’s been a rough road. During the month of April, Daphne was placed on bed rest at home with a dilating cervix. After a week and following a cervical cerclage, Daphne continued to experience changes and was ordered continued bedrest. On 4/23, at 22 weeks gestation, labor began. Contractions increased in frequency and intensity and Daphne and baby Tiago were admitted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for very specialized care.
On April 27th, after 4 intense days with little sleep, labor continued to be troublesome to control and with his umbilical cord now wrapped around little baby Tiago's neck, the decision was made to undergo a C-section and give Tiago the opportunity to live. After 40 minutes with mom and dad, Tiago's heart slowed and he returned home to be with Jesus.
Our hope is that this page will allow the great network of people that have come to know Jean-, Daphne, and Estela to come together and support them in this very challenging time. To help manage the strain that is to come as the medical bills associated with care before, during and after the hospitalization begin to mount, and to provide them comfort from those who have grown to love their beautiful family.

Gracias por entrar a nuestra pagina. El embarazo de Daphne a sido uno de alto riesgo. Durante el mes de abril Daphne fue ordenada a mantenerse en cama desde casa. El 23 de abril, a 22 semanas de embarazo y días después de completar un procedimiento de cerclaje cervical Daphne comenzó a sentir contracciones fuertes y seguidas y fue admitida al hospital de Sarasota Memorial el cual se especializa en el cuidado de bebes prematuros.
El 27 de abril luego de 4 días de poco dormir y muchos medicamentos para tratar de parar el proceso de parto, se tomo la decision de hacer una cesárea pues el cordon umbilical se había amarrado alrededor del cuello de Tiago. Luego de 40 minutos junto a mamá y papá el corazón de Tiago se detuvo y regreso a estar en casa junto a nuestro Dios.
Nuestro objetivo es que mediante esta pagina podamos unir a todas las personas que han podido compartir y conocer a Jean-, Daphne y Estela para ayudarlos durante estos momentos tan difíciles. Los fondos recaudados ayudaran a pagar los gastos asociados con el cuidado de Daphne y Tiago antes, durante y después de la hospitalización.
