<div>Es war 2010, als Katrin Jahn, Abiturientin unserer Schule, Neema e.V. gründete - einen Verein, der sich für Bildungsprojekte im globalen Süden, insbesondere in Tansania, einsetzt. Durch erste Spendenaktionen - und später auch durch die Besuche unserer Lehrkräfte Frau Sonnborn und Herr Stendtke und dem mehrmonatigen Aufenthalt zweier Abiturientinnen - haben wir Tansania kennen- und lieben gelernt und enge Verbindungen, etwa durch Briefaustausche und regelmäßige persönliche Kontakte zu den Ansprechpartnern vor Ort, herstellen können.

<div>Zwei Schulen am Fuße des Kilimandscharo liegen uns seit der ersten Bekanntschaft besonders am Herzen: Die Mdawi Primary School und die Shia Elementary School.

<div>2024 wurde der Kontakt nach Tansania durch einen Besuch von Frau Sonnborn noch weiter intensiviert und Kontakte zum Verein Patenschaft Tansania hergestellt, der ebenfalls beide Schulen unterstützt und sich dort unter anderem um Krankenversicherungen, Schulausstattungen, Unterrichtsmaterialien, Schulessen und die medizinische Versorgung kümmert. <div>Auch im Jahr 2026 möchten wir weiter aktiv sein und durch zahlreiche und vielfältige Spendenaktion die Kinder und Bildungseinrichtungen in Tansania unterstützen.
