Maeve & Orv Fry, known locally as Relationship Igniters, have been helping people to have more loving, conscious relationship in Nevada County for 23 years. They have recently fallen on very hard times. We need to pull together to help bring them back up!!
On Thanksgiving Day, calamity struck. With finances already extremely tight, their only vehicle just stopped running. Their “dependable” Chevy Tahoe broke down halfway to town. They haven’t had a vehicle since then, and are now depending on neighbors and friends to get into town.
Without a vehicle, they can’t get to Doctor’s appointments, the drug store and grocery stores. If an emergency happens, such as a fire, they are trapped.
The mechanic says it might be a blown head gasket, but he won’t know for sure until he takes a look inside the engine. He won’t do that without a guarantee of payment. They may even need to install a rebuilt engine. The cost of repair could be between $2500 to about $3000. It's money they don’t have right now.
As elders, and a married couple since 1995, they have shared their wisdom and warmth with their community. Working as a team, they have helped hundreds of people gain more loving connection.
Now, nearing their 80’s, Orv has had to face treatment for prostate cancer. Recovery from radiation and hormone therapy has taken its toll on him.
Maeve just had her 2nd hip replacement surgery November 3rd, and she is mostly in bed, slowly getting around with crutches. The recovery is painful, and she can’t over-do it. But recovery for both of them is just around the corner.
Anything you can give will help them to get back to life, safety and freedom.
Since helping people have more loving relationships is their passion and life’s work, if you donate $50 or more, they will donate a full hour and a half counseling session over Zoom to a couple or an individual. You can even give this time to someone you care about as a gift.
