Fire Recovery Fund

I should start out by saying that everyone in this group is usually the type to shoulder their burdens and tackle problems singlehandedly. Though we're a stubborn, prideful, and resilient bunch, we've carefully considered the outpouring of love we have received from our community and have reluctantly and humbly come to a decision, opening ourselves to outside help.

Last week, during Knight Realms' Week in the Life event, our tent caught fire in the middle of the night after a torch fell and rolled underneath the platform. While nobody was hurt and our community reacted quickly to extinguish the blaze, many personal belongings were lost in the fire between Robert (Ira) Torres, Matthew Majchrzak, and I.  Though we were able to salvage some items, we ending up losing nearly all of our weapons, armor, costuming, and some camping equipment. Again, normally we aren't the type to ask for aid, but due overwhelming support and kindness we have received, it is with hoping hearts that our group turns to community to ask for help in replacing some of what we have lost.

We are willing to provide an itemized list of what was lost if needed. In the event that our goal is exceeded, we will be donating any excess funds to a charity that works to aid victims and families of fire-related accidents. Again, thank you so much for the kindness, compassion, and love in the face of our current happenstance. We truly cannot do enough to repay the love we have been shown.
