The World is Bigger than Me

Tax deductible
My brother and I, 15 and 14 years old respectively, came up with "The World is Bigger than Me" program to help other teens around the world become socially responsible and globally aware.  Initially our goal is to help Mayan Families, a 501.c.3 Non-Profit, in Guatemala.  However, our ultimate goal is to encourage young adults around the globe to take action and help make our world a better place.
The family we currently support consist of two parents and seven children. The father, Jesus, has back pain and the mother, Clara, suffers from stomach ulcers. They have spent a lot of money trying to cure her and have gone into debt.
They currently live in a one room house made of plywood, with a dirt floor, no running water or electricity and no bathroom. Their "kitchen" is an outside wood fire, with no place to store food.
Each day is a struggle to support the family. With only the father and oldest working, their debt is increasing by the minute.
Money raised will go towards the property claim, a sturdy foundation, running water, renewable energy in the form of solar panels, an indoor kitchen, and full bathroom.  The estimated cost of this project is approximately $14,553.   Needless to say, the sooner we reach our goal, the better.  Our goal is ambitious, to raise the entire amount by April 20th.  Any amount raised above this will roll over to another family.
In Guatemala if a family starts at the bottom, no matter how hard they work, they'll stay at the bottom; so will their kids, and so will their grandkids. But with this donation, we will create a better future for this generation and the next. "The World is Bigger than Me" gives families all over a hand up, not a hand out. Every cent donated will insure this family has a fighting chance to live a full life.
Your donation will help provide them the freedom from worry; worry when their next meal will be, or if they will have one at all; freedom from worry that their home will be washed away during the torrential rainy season.  Your donation will make a life changing difference and hope for generations to come.
Our family has worked directly with Mayan Families for over 9 years. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about this program, feel free to reach out to us
