Hi everyone! I am an architecture student at the Vienna University of Technology. I am in the last stretch of my graduate studies and am currently writing my thesis.
I am trying to raise money to help me fund the expenses for research related to my thesis. The topic, the urban evolution of Black Rock City in Nevada, is very unique and explores the relationship between the infrastructure, the social structures, spiritual and ritualistic aspects of Burning Man, along with many other factors, in an attempt to explain how the structure of Black Rock City has developed, changed and adapted over time.

As I progressed in my work, I realized that a site visit is absolutely essential for my research, since so little detailed material is available. I need to be able to see the structures for myself and communicate with participants locally in order to truly understand it and write accurately.
I have managed to receive a low income ticket from Burning Man, which is very hard to come by, but the travel expenses to get to the site are even more daunting than the ticket itself.

I really want to write a thesis which is relevant and thorough, and makes a contribution to the architectural community.
