Shoes that grow for kids in need

Please help us provide long-lasting shoes for approximately 200 students at our Kids for Peace Preprimary School of Kenya in Mikei, Kenya. Each pair of shoes lasts through approximately FIVE sizes!

Two years ago, Kids for Peace (kidsforpeaceglobal.org) opened a new school for the poor, vulnerable children in Mikei, Kenya. Most of the children have never had a proper pair of shoes, sometimes relying on donated, inexpensive flip-flops that only last a few weeks. All of the children walk to school, and their walk takes many of them through miles of rough terrain. When they are not at school, they are often playing with their friends in and around their village, running barefoot amidst contaminated mounds of dirt and scrub.

According to Kenya's Ministry of Health, 1.4 million people are infested with jiggers, a debilitating foot parasite. Around 80% of those affected are school-aged children.
