Thermal drone, firefighter safety

Hello, my name is Tom Fick. I am a lifelong resident of Bay County, MI and a former paid on call fire fighter.  Bay County has a population of approximately 106,000 people.  It is on the east side of Michigan and has a total area of 631 sq miles, Roughly 30% of this total area (188 sq miles) is water.  Currently, we do not have a single public safety drone in any fire department in the entire county.  

I want to change that.  I am trying to raise funds in order to purchase a thermal drone to be used be the brave fire fighters of Bay County, MI.  A thermal drone has many uses in the fire service.  It can be used to check for hot spots on the roof of a house or building during a structure fire.  By looking down on the building to see where the fire is burning through the trusses, command can tell the fire fighters what part of the roof is safe to step on so that they can proceed to ventilate the structure.  A thermal drone can also be used in water and ice rescues, which we have a lot of every year due to the county being made up of approximately 30% water.   

My goal is to raise enough funds in order to purchase a thermal drone,  I will partner with our local Bay County fire departments in order to provide a needed service to our residents in times of crisis.  Any financial contribution that you can make is greatly appreciated.
