<div>Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am deeply saddened and as painful as it is to write this... it has become necessary. My mother, Theresa Stevenson, was diagnosed with brain cancer this past August. She was given a year left to live. A diagnosis that rocked our entire family. Unfortunately, things progressed far more rapidly than we expected. After receiving radiation and chemotherapy throughout September and October, Theresa was rushed to the hospital due to low platelets where she spent two weeks trying to recover. The doctors then had Theresa do an MRI scan only to discover that the cancer had spread further in her brain and to her spine. Theresa has bravely decided to start the stage of her journey where we focus on making her as comfortable as possible during her transition.

<div>Over the past few months, we have seen Theresa’s incredible strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit in the face of this relentless illness. She took each step with grace and courage. Her love and warmth has touched so many lives, and now, as she nears the end of her journey, we want to ensure that she receives the best possible care and support.

<div>The unfortunate reality of life is that coping with terminal illness comes with extreme financial burdens that any family would struggle to face, our family is no different. We are currently facing mounting medical expenses and end-of-life care costs. It is so overwhelming to see just how expensive dying has become.  Despite our best efforts, the financial strain is becoming overwhelming, and we find ourselves in need of assistance. It feels like between the existing hospital bills, cancer treatments, bills insurance has denied, and now hospice care that as unfortunate as it is, the cost for care is coming between Theresa’s comfort and wellbeing.
