There's only one Ella

Ella and her fiancé Dave were in a serious road traffic accident on Saturday evening.

Ella has been unconscious since the accident.
The lead consultant has given a long list of challenges she has to overcome on her road to recovery. Every hour is a victory at the moment and the next 48 hours are critical to her survival.

Dave also remains in hospital and we also pray for him to continue his recovery.

So many of you have reached out in love and support and asked what you can do to help.
Like you, as a family we feel a bit helpless and just continue to pray that she continues to show small positive signs of hope.

There is one thing we can all do to support at this time. Ella's sister Sølviej lives in the US and we would all love to bring her here ASAP to be with Ella and the rest of the family.

We invite you to contribute whatever you would like.

Any excess will be donated to the Neurological Intensive Care Unit and any other charities that will support Ella on her road to recovery.

Thanks you for the overwhelming love and support that has already been shown.

UPDATE 03.02.19
Thank you all for the overwhelming love, support and donations.
We have long surpassed the original goal of £2000 and Solviej will be landing in the UK before we know it.
We would like to change the focus of the fundraising now to do everything we can to support the charity and the great work they are doing. We have increased the goal to £10000 based on the amount of support shown so far that shows no sign of slowing down.

UPDATE 10.02.19
On the morning of Friday 7th Feburary, Ella sadly passed away.

It breaks our hearts to lose someone so special to us at such an important time of her life.

Words cannot describe the loss we feel.

We are so thankful for the overwhelming love and support that has been shown to us the family.

Because of your help, Ella's sister from the USA managed to come and be with Ella and the rest of the family during the last few days of her life. She is now returning to the states until funeral arrangements can be made.

As originally stated, funds received will be used in the following ways :

1. Flights for Ella's sister & brother in law.
2. Southampton Neurosciences intensive care unit.
The care provided to Ella in her last few days by the doctors and nurses working here was nothing short of amazing.

3. Dorset Air Ambulance.

To be able to withdraw the funds and distribute them accordingly, we need to make clear that the funds will be withdrawn into our own account and then forwarded to the 3 recipients. We will be fully transparent with every penny and account to you when donations have been made.
