There is so much wrong with me

Pet Patrol is an entirely volunteer-run, non-profit cat rescue organization in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. All our cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and any health concerns are addressed before they are available for adoption. Please visit our website for more information about our charity. www.petpatrol.ca

My name is Chloe, and this is my story:
From the kitties here at the Pet Patrol sanctuary, I hear that I am now in the right place. I was adopted as a tiny kitten by a man who I know loved me very much but who never took me to the vet. I’ve never had vaccines, I’ve never been spayed, I don’t have a microchip, and I’m not feeling very good. He was moving and asked a friend of his to look after me, but it was a busy house. There were kids, cats and dogs and I was used to living with just one quiet person. I stayed in my bed, coming out when it was quiet to eat and use the litter box. He never came back for me. So, the lady kitty sitting me contacted Pet Patrol to see if they could help. Because the sanctuary was full at the time, I went to a foster home while awaiting my spay surgery. We didn’t know if I was pregnant or not because I was a bit chunky, but then I started leaving little piles of green yuck behind me every time I sat down. This was not nice. The coordinator at Pet Patrol was quite alarmed and got me into the vet immediately. Turns out I had Pyrometria and emergency surgery was needed. This condition is where the uterus fills up with pus and if it doesn’t leak out it can be deadly. Deadly either way. Nobody wants that much infection inside of them. We couldn’t wait, and the surgery was done.
But my medical issues were not over. My teeth are bad, and I need dentistry as well. Just seems to be one thing after another. I feel so grateful to Pet Patrol for saving me and continuing my medical care to ensure that I am in tiptop condition. We still have to pay the vet for my emergency surgery, and we are saving up for my dentistry. My teeth really do hurt though, and one is broken off. The vet says the pulp is exposed. So, when I’m eating food it just sometimes catches my breath and I have to spit out my kibble and stop eating for a while. Not good. If you were able to help Pet Patrol with a donation so that they can continue to take care of me, it would make this kitty so very happy.
