Hello, my name is Dawn. I am disabled with a collapsed immune system. I never smoked, drank, or did drugs but that did not matter, I was a secretary at a community college where my office was next to the water treatment plant for the HVAC system. So now I am sick for life.
It has taken years of supplementation and detoxification to return some of my health to me. Medicare did not help. I had to learn to help myself.
When COVID hit, I began using my research skills and my secretarial knowledge to help others who found themselves without hope.
First, I stumbled upon a video of a farmer stating that he could not get his produce to market. Other videos followed about livestock and meat going to waste. I contacted the White House in April/May of 2020. I got someone to get the message across the President's desk.
Good thing I spoke up. We were about to go into a food shortage without these resources. The President and his daughter created the Farm to Table program that pays farmers to feed people without a bunch of red tape.
That saved tens of millions of lives
Then I expanded my reach. I noticed how Congress refused to help people with more stimulus. I wrote the White House again; this time in Sept/October about the economic problems caused by such delays. Right away, the President pushed for another $2000 Stimulus Check, which $600 came after the holidays and the rest is about to help people now.
I may be sick and bed bound, but I have made sure that the politicians help the people and not just themselves.
Now I am in a position that I could use a little help. I know everyone is hurting, but without my efforts, the money coming to you would never have arrived if the politicians had their way.
I have proven my worth to my community and nation. If you like my work and dedication, then please let me continue by helping me afford a new air conditioner.
$10, $20 won't hurt as much as never receiving food or the $1400 to begin with. My fundraiser may seem to come at a bad time, but I have asked in the years before COVID was even known. I have been left without the hope so many of you have felt unknowning how people like me have been working for you in the background.
Unfortunately, the next two months are critical to replacing the unit. I have patched up the unit past its expiration date and now it is a danger.
I need an AZ Trane up and over system, because that is what fits my house's 1983 infrastructure. Only one manufacturer makes this type of system. So I am stuck with this situation.
