There Is Hope's facility is in need..

Huts 4 Our Friends is a non-profit organization. We have acquired a building named “There is Hope.” We have been offering day services for nearly two years.

To date, we have made progress solely on community involvement and donations. There is an urgent need for funding and assistance with our facility to allow us to continue with our mission. We have created this GoFundMe account to enlist the help of anyone within our community and abroad. No donation is too small.

We are currently operating as a day service facility offering help to the homeless and less fortunate. We do not charge any fees for services we provide to the community. We are based solely on donations through the community. Below is a detailed modified program of Huts 4 Our Friends and There is Hope’s efforts that are currently established and in process.

The day program consists of the following services:

Daily lunches - Our donations allow our volunteers to prepare daily lunches and a designated eating area within the facility.

Showers - Our facility also provides showers for those in need. With fresh, clean towels, washcloths, soap, shampoo products, etc.

Clothing - We provide clothing to everyone needing shirts, socks, undergarments, pants/shorts, jackets/coats, etc.

Shoes- We provide footwear for those in need of shoes, work boots, etc.

Personal hygiene products - We provide personal hygiene products to individuals for continued hygiene care.

Counseling/Support Groups - Our facility offers on-site counseling with individual and group sessions and referrals to medical and mental health treatment facilities and local shelters/services deemed necessary for each individual's needs. We have partnered with UWF (University of West Florida) for mental health support groups with linkage to further assistance if needed.

Referrals - We refer individuals/families to local shelters, and in some instances, we reach out to other local facilities to assist in arranging shelter provisions. We also provide shelter fees to individuals so they can reside in the open shelters.

Classes/courses – We offer financial literacy and life management skills.

Job assistance – We have successfully referred individuals for job placement with excellent results. We continue to refer people to companies that have expressed their need for hiring.
