Sensory/Physical Therapy Room

Please us help build our 5 year old son a Therapy room...
His name is Mitchell and he has GDD (Global Development Delay), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and SPD (Sensory Processing Disorder).
This means he is mentally, socially, emotionally and physically delayed. He has many characteristics of Autism and is waitingto be assed by the Janeway. All of his senses are EXTREMELY heightened. Light hurts his eyes, everything smells stinky to him, everything tastes gross, every single noise in the room comes into him at the same decibel, which is loud and overwhelming and clothing hurts his skin so he prefers to be in his underwear all the time.
He is classified as severely physically challenged because his legs randomly give out beneath him. He can collapse anywhere between once a week to 20 times in one day. He walks a little funny, and runs funny. Infact , he walked with a medical walker until he was 2 ½ years old.
When he was a baby he was like a limp body, he had no strength in his lower body, and was very floppy. He was only getting physio therapy 1 hour a week so I quit my job when he was 2 years old so I could do 5 hours of physio a day on my own. I took him swimming twice a day, took him to the gym and used equipment once or twice a day and walked through the mall with his walker once or twice a day. Within 6 months he was walking.
It is still a constant struggle with him, physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. He participates in many different therapies on a regular basis however it's just not enough, he needs daily therapy at home.
It’s so difficult watching your child struggle on a daily basis with everything. Every parent just wants to make a happy life for their children and give them all the best possibilities they can have for a successful future.
The best and worst part, is that these are Invisible disabilities, which means he looks like a normal child, but neurologically he is different.
It is our ultimate goal to be able to transform our basement in to a daily physical therapy and sensory therapy room for him. He will be using this room several times a day, because he needs much more than one hour every couple weeks that he is receiving now.
He needs a place he can escape the chaos of a world that is litterally attacking every sense in his body, so he can center himself in his own private oasis to help him get to where he needs to be physically, mentally and emotionally.
But we can't do it on our own. We need as much help as we can get, so please, if you are not in a position to donate, please help us by sharing this on your Facebook. The more shares we get, the sooner he will have his therapy room.
